Literary Force

BGHS’s Literary Magazine

Invitation

Literary Force, Bell Gardens High School’s creative writing club, is excited to announce that we will be digitally publishing the second issue of our literary magazine this spring. We invite you to submit your creative writing to us for our consideration.

Deadline

April 7, 2017 @ 2:48 p.m.

Submission Info

 

Must be a HARDCOPY (Printed)

Turn in Submissions to Ms. Saucedo in Room 106 or mailbox; CANNOT be turned in electronically.

Submission Checklist

 

1. Cover Page:

  • Name
  • ID Number
  • English teacher
  • Grade level
  • Submission Titles
  • Brief Biography (100 words max)

                * Only page where name should appear

2. Submissions:

Font - Times New Roman; Size 12; Double Spaced

Each piece must be separate; do not start a new piece where the previous one ends

Do not include footers or headers

Word Count

Prose-1500 words max! Include at end of each piece in parentheses

Poetry-50 lines max! Include at end of each piece in parentheses

Please read

 

A note about proofreading: If your work contains excessive grammar and/or spelling errors, we will not consider it for our publication. We will publish work as is, so please review every submission to ensure your work is as you’d like it to appear in our magazine.

Notification

ALL PIECES THAT GET SELECTED WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON April 21st at our club meeting and via School Loop post.

You’re also welcome to attend our club meetings every Friday at lunch in room 106. We are looking forward to reading your submissions.
